Flying W Airshow

6-7 October, 2018Group 225 Squadrons will be supporting the airport with details for parking, flight line safety, and access control points.  In addition, we will be recruiting for NJWG, showing off our flight simulators and STEM Kits, and manning THREE static aircraft displays (C-172, C-182, and G-8 confirmed).

We need enough squadron support to man our stations, and rotate members through breaks and free time.  Please confirm your squadron attendance to Lt Col Bruce Brown

Training Leaders of Cadets (TLC) Course

NJ Wing Headquarters

 The one-day Basic course (Saturday, 10/20) is designed for new adult volunteers, adult volunteers serving in positions below deputy commander, and veteran Cadet Programs Officer seeking refresher training. 

Prerequisite: SM with Level I

Sunday, 10/21 is TLC Intermediate. Intermediates target audience is adult volunteers preparing themselves for service as a squadron commander or deputy commander for cadet.

Prerequisite: Completion of TLC-Basic Course or Completion of the 2-Day TLC Course. On-line sessions and some pre-class reading.

CLC discusses the relationship the CAP squadron has with the next major echelon of command -- the wing. Specifically, CLC discusses how wing-level operations help to accomplish CAP's three missions of aerospace education, emergency services, and cadet programs. It describes the working relationships wing staff officers have with each other, and their squadron level counterparts.

Prerequisites: Completion of Level II, Hold a current duty assignment, Commanders Approval


Squadron Leadership School (SLS)

SLS is designed to enhance a senior member’s performance at the squadron level, and to increase the member’s understanding of the basic function of a squadron and how to improve squadron operations.

Prerequisites: Completion of Level I and enrollment in at least one specialty track.
